- How to Use
EQU StreamZ ‘Turnout Strips’ have been developed to offer an additional layer of protection when the bands are being used on an animal when turned out for extended periods of time, or on animals who are prone to a good chew or nibble. It is not compulsory to use Turnout Strips when turning your horse out with EQU StreamZ® bands; in many cases the strips are not required for turnout.
The Turnout Strips are ideal for horses who are known to chew, or for animals who have extended turnout over long periods of time or in large paddocks. As the strips are bright yellow and use non-toxic 'glow-in-the-dark' pigments, the bands are much easier to locate if the bands are removed.
Please appreciate: The Turnout Strips do not guarantee the prevention of the bands being removed by the horse.
If you feel your outer sleeves have seen better days, we do not recommend using these strips to use as the main fastening of the bands; we do supply replacement outer sleeves which allow you to extend the life cycle of your product.
Size: 10cm x 3cm, 8 grams per badge; Bright yellow silicone badges with hook-and-loop backing. Sold as a pair.
Turnout Strips do not contain StreamZ technology and are to be used alongside existing EQU StreamZ horse bands. No coupon codes can be applied to this product.
* 10cm x 3cm Silicone Hook-and-Loop badges
* Fasten over the top of EQU StreamZ bands
* Bright yellow 'glow-in-the-dark' pigments for easy detection (non-toxic pigments used)
* Does not guarantee the prevention of the bands being removed
Each horse is advised to wear two EQU StreamZ bands (one pair) just above or below the fetlock area, on any two front or hind legs.
Once the StreamZ bands are fitted to the horses legs; using the optional Turnout Strips, place the Turnout Strip anywhere on the bands - over the tongue ideally, or fully over the fixing tab if required Press firmly in place.
This will provide and additional layer of strength to the fastening.

Bought 2 pairs of these, came off very easily and one pair I still haven't found in the field. Velcro not strong at all and very easy to remove. Like the idea of being able to add reflective strips to make the magnetic straps easier to find but these are very thin and come off very easily. Disappointing, gave up within a week of buying.
Hi Liz, we're sorry to hear about your experience with the StreamZ Turnout Strips. Your feedback is important, we'll monitor this carefully but have not faced issues ourselves or with other customers. They are injection moulded hook and loop; the strongest and most resilient on the market. Maybe your horse pulled them off and they 'did their job' rather than the bands being pulled off and on the paddock floor.

They work!
I have 5 sets one set i use on my ankles. Love them all pain is gone.
I use other sets on my horses very happy with how they move when they where them

Great product. Extra secure. Easy to spot on dark evenings especially when like mine your horse is black 👍
The bands have been on my Older horse since 19/10/25, they have stayed in place and not rubbed, the addition of the Turn out strips are a must if you are leaving the Bands on 24/7 definitely helped ease the old aches and pains, he has even gotten a bit more feisty 😊
I admit I can’t have read the description properly, I thought they were more of a sleeve type thing. After only using them for 2 days, I noticed grass/hay/bedding trapped behind the corner . I removed what I could without damaging the fastening. Within hours of being turned out in them again, they were exactly the same only now the corners no longer sat flush . I never had any problems with my first pair of the actual bands, they never came undone, even as the fastenings got worn over time. As I said, I didn’t realise they were supposed to be an ‘extra secure ‘ fastening . I have only left them on out of interest, to see how long they last before falling off !
Absolutely brilliant piece of kit. My boy was managing to pull off his bands in the field and as soon as I've used these that has stopped. He wears the 24/7 and they work a treat
Great addition but if could be secured to boot better a plus, 2yr old plays with them
I bought both the luminous strip and the bands for my highland who has OCD he’s outside all the time and didn’t know if they would stay on him.
These have stayed on him 24/7 no problems and highly recommend this product.
Excellent addition to the bands. Keep them secured when turned out in all conditions.
I’m a five yr customer having purchased 2 pairs of bands originally for my 32 yr old Dartmoor with arthritis and now recently the turnout strips, I started using the bands on my second horse as she is now 19 and had an accident recently which resulted in swollen and bruised legs so on with the Equistreamz and I can honestly say her recovery has been so quick I bought the turn out strips to Keep those ends from getting snagged on brambles, bushes etc in the field and I love the hivis for those darker Autumn field evening checks and hacking. Thankyou Equ streamz again for my favourite Equine item by far.
Good idea- Great product
Perfect to make sure my mares bands are secure over winter and reflective too which i love
Rubbish. Only lasted one day before lifting at the edges. Complete waste of money
I purchased the bands for my daughters hunter pony she is a welsh x thoroughbred 20yrs we want to keep her moving beautifully sometimes she will get sore hocks. We had the bands for a little over a month and so far so good she wears them 24/7 except when ridding. In the winter she probably will only where in stall overnight when we get snow.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
When I bought the Equstreamz band, I expected my horse to wear it like a proud athlete in peak magnetic alignment. What I did not expect was him to eat it like it was a gourmet snack specially seasoned by science.
Naturally, I reached out to the company, and I must say—absolutely stellar customer service. No judgment, no “Your horse did what?” Just calm, helpful support from people who clearly understand that horses are majestic creatures... with the tastebuds of a Labrador. Luckily I was reassured even the magnetic parts are non-toxic - phew!
Impressed by their attitude (and now mildly addicted to magnet-based horse accessories), I decided to try the turnout strips to prevent future munching mishaps. A solid 50% success rate: they stay beautifully on the back legs. The front legs, however, were apparently just too conveniently located for a cheeky nibble. It’s like giving a toddler a sticker and telling them not to put it in their mouth. Pepper spray is the next and possibly only option.
On the bright side, the luminous strip is a game changer. When the inevitable happened and one band vanished into the paddock abyss, it was practically glowing like a beacon —and yes, the band was still attached to the turnout strip and fully functional. Not a scratch. Possibly slightly chewed, but hey, who am I to judge gourmet preferences?
Would I recommend? Absolutely. I really believe they are making a big difference, and with a fairly substantial stifle injury and a liability for a horse we’ve given them a pretty solid test. Would I trust my horse not to try and eat another one? Not a chance.
Not what I expected from the pictures. I thought they would be cover for the leg straps but they are only Velcro attachments to go over the tongue.
Great little strip to keep the edge of the band from being caught and coming off. Used a couple of times and so far so good
Will make life much easier when my daughters horse loses her bands in the muddy field
Within a week my horse had lost one of the velcro fastening strips either in the field or in the stable - it would be better if there was the option to purchase sleeves that had them stitched on as the velcro option is always going to lead to problems with an energetic horse
Sadly, and as described, our turnout strips are not designed to stop horses from removing them. For safety reasons it is much better that they fall off rather than cause an issue with the horse. They are reflective so are much easier to find if they are removed and found in the paddock the next morning. We are really sorry to see a 1-star review and would have helped if you had contacted us.
Very simple to use, adds a pop of colour. Strips could be made a little bit longer for better security and perhaps in a choice of colours but other than that, very happy with them.
Good idea but mine did not last 24 hours before being lost in the field. And when I advised of this, was just advised to get the hi viz strips. Not really the point! Won’t be ordering again.
I loved the idea of these and I know lots of people have used them. However my horse lost one in the field in less than 24 hours so, understandably I’m a bit disappointed. I bought the hi viz strips too!
Oh no! Sometimes horses like to have a chew; the strips are bright yellow so shoudl be pretty easy to find in the field. Contact our team at help@streamz-global.com who have tips for use.
I have 2 horses wearing them, one old and crippled until about a week after wearing them, and one mid life crisis patch trotter type who seems to be a bit more relaxed. On the back of this, I'm now wearing one and looking to purchase another for my newfoundland dog and old Pug... Says it all. Well worth it.
Bit disappointed with size
Hi there, we're sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the size of our Turnout Strips. They are 10cm x 2cm - as advertised. Being any bigger than 10cm would not achieve anything other than adding unnecesary weight to the bands, being smaller and they wouldn't work properly.
I have a horse who loves to play with things, he played with one of his bands tsp often the Velcro is not stuck all the way around, after putting the turnout strips on he hasn’t been playing or chewing them at all. Plus in the winter they will reflect in the dark when calling him from the field which is an added bonus. Great product
Great idea, excellent product however my horse lost one of the strips first time turned out, don’t know if it was my fault for not fitting properly or whether he just went through a particularly muddy patch however the band was still in place so think I might’ve lost the band if the strip hadn’t been on - much rather lose a strip than the whole band
Great product and fast delivery
